Contact Lens Plan

Contact Lens Aftercare and Support Programme

Well done! Now you’re ready to enjoy your contact lenses. What next?

First and foremost, Continue to follow the advice you’ve been given carefully and completely to ensure you always get the best out of your lenses and your eyes stay feeling good.

To keep informed about new and improved developments in contact lenses it is necessary to see you regularly. Even if things are going great, the plan is to keep you able to wear contact lenses for as long as you want to. As you get older, the challenge becomes greater, but there’s no reason to stop as long as your eyes are happy.

We will remind you to come in on time (once a year at least), but remember, we are here to help or advise at any time should you have any questions or concerns.

At your routine aftercare appointment, please remember to wear your contact lenses that day – unless there is a niggle with your comfort or vision. Also bring your most recent glasses with you as we’re checking that those are in good working order too.

Contact lenses seldom or very rarely cause serious eye complications. By calling in regularly for your aftercare appointments any potential issues can be nipped in the bud. Minor conditions such as dry eye, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) or blepharitis can be managed effectively if caught early and treated effectively. You do not necessarily need to stop wearing your lenses, but “if in doubt, take them out”.

Self Help
Check –
Do my eyes feel good? – no discomfort
Do they look good? – no redness
Do I see well? – no unusual blurring with either eye

Payment Plans

We prefer you to join our Payment Plan as it covers you for all of your scheduled and unscheduled appointments, and removes barriers to coming in promptly for advice when you need it.
By spreading the cost of your aftercare (and lenses and solutions too if you like) there are no budgetary surprises.
The other advantages of joining are:

  • Additional discounts off your contact lenses
  • First month free!
  • 25% off your glasses
  • NHS entitlements, if eligible = extra cash. You won’t lose out.
  • No charges for extra visits, should you need them
  • Check ups for specs are done at the time of your appointment – all included.
  • Generous discounts on your sunglasses and contact lens solutions
  • If at all possible, we will provide you with some extra lenses to keep you going should you run out unexpectedly.
  • Priority notification of our events, special offers, and contact lens news.

£8.50/month
£6.00/month (for under 18’s in full time education)

If you only wear contact lenses occasionally, or prefer to pay as you go, you may do so, of course. A combined aftercare and eye examination (allow at least 45 minutes) will cost £70. Additional visits, if required, from £30.

Annual review and check ups are still strongly advisable – unless you are a very infrequent wearer.

We believe that once a routine has been established, joining an aftercare plan is still the most cost effective and convenient option for most.

Remember Your First Month is Free!!

Excluding Gas permeable lenses, Corneo-Sclerals and Ortho k lenses.
