Why does my Company need Safety Eyecare?
Employers have duties concerning the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at work. There are health and safety laws that have to be adhered to to ensure your employees safety. All safety eyewear and goggles must comply with British and European Standards EN 166, and there are different types of protection, for example, some safety eyewear will stand up to impact while others are designed to resist heat.
Health & Safety at Work Regulations require the employer to regularly identify and evaluate the workplace risk. This is commonly undertaken by the company safety officer.
